BRIEF
The soul intent of this project was to create a harmonious visual identity for the album, its two lead singles and all promotional content. The brief was to convey ‘Retro Chic Soul’, which was initiated by conceptualising and creating the design of the main album artwork. Once an approach was chosen, we then had a clear visual direction for ‘Blue Embrace’. This was then sown into both lead single designs and all assisting digital and print promotion. 
IDENTITY
The visual direction pulls its influence from 60’s vintage soul album art. The identity combines both elements of art deco and art nouveau, as well as embodying a turquoise duck egg blue gradient throughout. Repeat patterns, simple geometric shapes, complex vintage etchings and worn textures. All combined to give a contemporary take on vintage soul art and music.
